Meet Our Founders

Co-Founder: Senani Thotabaduge

At the heart of Tenora Ceylon Gems is Senani Thotabaduge, our visionary co-founder. Born in Kandy, Sri Lanka, Senani moved to the UK in 2002 and earned a Master’s in Computer Science from Brunel University London in 2004, followed by an MBA in 2017. He dedicated over 20 years to Brunel University as a Corporate Systems Manager, honing his leadership and innovation skills.

Despite a successful tech career, Senani’s passion for Sri Lanka’s gemstone heritage persisted. Inspired by local sapphire mines, he founded Tenora Ceylon Gems to bring ethically sourced Sri Lankan sapphires to the UK. We proudly continue his mission, offering breathtaking, ethically sourced sapphires to our valued customers.

Director: Sadini Thotabaduge

Sadini Thotabaduge is the Co-Founder and Director of Tenora Ceylon Gems, where she has been instrumental in revitalizing the company. At just 18 years old, Sadini undertook the challenge of transforming a dormant business into a thriving enterprise. She spearheaded the redesign of the company’s website, led the rebranding initiative, and meticulously curated a collection of high-quality gemstone photography. Her efforts have significantly enhanced the company’s market presence and brand identity.

Currently completing her A-Levels, Sadini plans to pursue a degree in Economics, which will further equip her with the knowledge and skills to continue driving the success and growth of Tenora Ceylon Gems.
